We are delighted to welcome children of all ages to the club, and hope that they have a most enjoyable time playing tennis and developing their skills.
Our club is a registered Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) venue and as such we are committed to maintaining the highest standards when it comes to the safety and welfare of children. We take safeguarding very seriously at the club and you can be reassured that we follow guidelines carefully.

ALL club members are made aware of these policies and of LTA Safeguarding standards. For policies and guidance set out by the LTA.
The governance here is comprehensive not only relating to Safeguarding but also to all aspects of tennis. One of the many useful activities which they offer is an Optimal Parenting Workshop which is aimed at parents of 9-14-year olds who are competing in tournaments and competitions. You may wish to explore this to hear some of the issues confronting competing children, and how best to support them.

Inside the clubhouse, and clearly visible there is Junior Notice Board on which can be found the numbers of Childline, the NSPCC and the contact details of the club Welfare Officer and her Deputy and the Junior Secretary should there be a need to Report a Concern or discuss an issue relating to a child or a vulnerable adult.
If you’d like to report a concern anonymously there is also an option to do this by accessing the LTA Website’s online Registering a Concern form.
By maintaining these initiatives and controls we hope that you and your child will feel confident that the club is a safe, happy and secure place in which to play, fully supported by the club committee.
